To use this replacement u-joint you must be able to machine the inside dimension to 1.780” on the OE steel flange yoke. If you are not able to precisely machine the original flange yoke, Rockford offers a new flange with the correct dimensions to work with the 430-14 U-Joint. No machining of the aluminum weld yoke is necessary as long as its not worn.
